FIDUCIARY TRAINING:
The Look of Stewardship in the New Era

SEMINAR #EF-2212

Course Schedule

Schedule of programs for 2012

Higher standards of accountability in the endowment and foundation community
demand higher standards of practice.

Directors, trustees, and executives of non-profit foundations are becoming more and more aware of the impact of events outside of their direct control as they affect their stakeholders. Volatility in financial markets and serious investment scandals have dramatically raised concerns in the public at large and among donors to foundations in particular, about the safety of invested capital. A clear demand for higher standards of accountability is driving foundation executives to assess the economic and social impact of their management practices. This trend sees foundations taking steps over and above those required by law, to minimize negative impacts on their donors and beneficiaries, and to maximize their contribution to a sustainable society.

This course unveils the power of the Fiduciary Standard for Endowments and Foundations to align stewardship conduct with the Uniform Prudent Management of Institutional Funds Act ("UPMIFA") and the industry's best practices.
